About

Hi there! My name is Kellie.

I love Jesus. And I am passionate about learning more about God and sharing this with others through writing, teaching, and preaching. The more we learn about and know who God is, the more our love for Him increases, and friends— it is so good to know and love Jesus.

I was born in Oklahoma, lived in Colorado for a short amount of time and eventually my parents settled us in Western New York where I was raised on Chautauqua Lake. At the young age of four I remember professing faith in Christ and genuinely believed that I had a relationship with Jesus. Growing up, I lacked discipleship and attended several different churches. It wasn’t until my senior year in college (after making a major mess of life) that I decided to not just be a fan of Christ but to truly submit to and follow Him as Lord of my life.

I currently reside in Upstate New York with my beagle named river. Over the years it has been my heart to serve my local church's women’s & youth/young adult ministries. I previously had the privilege of being the Co-Director of our churches’ Uncommon Internship program for four years where we discipled students with a focus on Bible Doctrine and Christian Worldview. Now I work on staff as the Communications Director of Redeemer Church. Some of my favorite things include; road trips to new cities, vanilla lattes, visiting museums, attending a good concert, sunshine, laughing, and curating playlists.

The purpose of this blog is that my words may point you to Christ. Throughout my posts, I will express my personal opinion and insight on an array of topics. It is my ultimate goal to provide you with encouragement and biblical truths throughout my posts. I believe in the authority of Scripture and that the Word of God is where we can find truth. I encourage you not to just take my word but to actually go to the Scriptures and search them yourself. I pray that your knowledge and love for the Lord would increase and be enriched.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!

In Christ,
Kellie M. Martin
