Day Twelve

As a Christian, do you forget from time to time why you do what you do? Like what's the actual point in your day to day schedule? From waking up to going to work, school, or however you spend your day- do you ever question what motivates you to keep on going? Is it your hopes to have a successful future? Is it because you find joy in what you do? Is it for your kids, your parents, or even yourself?

Life is busy and if we aren't safe to intentionally look at the why behind what we are doing, we can easily get swept up in being shaped by what culture tells us we should do.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9

This scripture always brings be back to the point in my life where God began to radically change my desires to be in-line with His. God broke through the darkness I placed myself in and saved me. As Christians, we belong to an almighty and unconditionally loving Father who saves us from ourselves and the wrath that we deserve. His grace is what should fuel us to proclaim His excellencies and glorify the One who saved us with whatever task He has given us to steward.
